Derick attended Dixie College on a pottery scholarship. After which, he then moved to Salt Lake City after a summer as a river guide in Moab, UT. Derick has spent the last 15 years becoming a real estate expert focused on the Avenues and Sugarhouse neighborhoods.
Derick's real estate interest originally sparked in 2001, after applying for a mortgage through a local Salt Lake City broker. The broker was taken with Derick's outgoing personality and offered him a position at his firm as a loan officer. Since then, Derick has spent many years as a loan officer giving him a very unique edge in answering his clients questions on the financing side of real estate.
When not helping clients, you can find Derick exploring the area with Gretta and Dax, his St. Bernard and Beagle. Derick also enjoys riding his bike, meeting the neighbors, and finding reasons to host a get together with friends.
Derick volunteers with the Salt Lake Arts Council and organizes events for the Road Home, a local homeless shelter. A portion of ALL Windermere commissions goes to the Windermere Foundation, a program that helps make positive differences in the lives of your neighbors.
